Wind turbines working on Dagab’s roof

The wind turbines that Dagab has installed on its two largest warehouses, located in Backa in Gothenburg and in Jordbro, are now operational.

Test runs of the wind turbines have been continuing since the start of the year, with good results. Now they are supplying electricity for use in areas such as forklift charging and lighting.

“We estimate production of around 40,000 kWh per year from each of our wind turbines,” states Anders Agerberg, CEO of Dagab. “That will only cover a fraction of our energy needs, but we see this as an element of our broader work to reduce our environmental impact. It is at least as important to raise the profile of our environmental work and increase the eco-awareness of our employees.”

The wind turbines are just part of Dagab’s drive to reduce its carbon footprint. Other measures include reducing energy consumption in the chiller and freezer rooms and reducing the environmental impact of transport.
