Axfood is one of the initiators of the Haga Initiative climate network. The network aims to reduce business sector emissions, bring climate change into focus and act as an inspiration for companies to take proactive climate responsibility. The network is only available to companies that work actively and concretely with climate issues.
One membership requirement is that companies should reduce their emissions by at least 40% by 2020, the goal is a reduction of 75% by 2020.
The Haga Initiative consists of eight companies: Axfood, Coca-Cola Enterprises Sweden, Fortum Värme, JM, Procter& Gamble Sweden, Stena Metall, Statoil Sweden and Vasakronan. Virtually all member companies were formerly active in BLICC (Business Leaders Initiative on Climate Change); the new Haga Initiative network is coordinated by Tricorona.
