New agreement signed on postal services
Axfood and Posten AB today signed a new 4-year agreement on the handling of postal letters and packages. One new feature of the agreement is that stamps will be available for purchase at all Hemköp stores and Willys customer service counters.
The agreement, which is essentially an extension of a previous agreement, will take effect on 1 January 2006 and covers 134 of Axfood’s stores. These stores will become full-fledged postal agents for the handling of letters and packages. In addition, all Hemköp stores and Willys customer service counters – together numbering approximately 200 stores – will begin selling stamps from the start of the year.
“This agreement entails an improved level of customer service and strengthens the position our stores have as a marketplace. Our co-operation with Posten is here to stay,” says Anders Nyberg, head of business development at Axfood AB.
